The Arcology Map

This map is used for the Legacy of the Ancestors campaign. While playing this expansion, use this map instead of the Valley map. It follows the same rules as outlined for the Valley map, with a few additions:

Map Levels

The Legacy of the Ancestors map is made up of four levels: the Valley section shows the surface, while three subterranean Arcology areas, or “strata,” show the underground. Connections between these areas are clearly marked on each level.

Locked Paths

Some paths on the Legacy of the Ancestors map are marked with a triangular lock icon in the place where that path leaves a location. You cannot travel along these paths when leaving that location unless otherwise specified by another game effect. (Note: this is not in effect only when leaving the location, but also when you are traveling through that location as part of moving multiple locations at once.)

Ranger cards that you can receive as rewards during the campaign allow you to travel along locked paths.
