Into the Maw

This Campaign Guide is a living document with integrated Errata. If you'd like to reference the specific changes, you can do so by reading the matching entry in the Errata section of this site.

📄️ 255. Cesspit

As the terravore turns westward, hugging the northern border of the swamp, the waste it produces is drained through an array of many-petaled sphincters that emerge from the wall of a narrow gorge. You trudge through putrid, waist-deep muck as it mixes with syrupy ichor and swamp water. Every now and again, the sphincters disgorge more of the foul-smelling substance. The walls of the pit are covered in slimy moss and lichen, nearly impossible to cling to without slipping. Your only way out is through.

📄️ 264. Signpost

Not long after the Valley was first settled, its people spread out from the village of Spire to make their homes in locations that called to them. Before even formal trails were cleared between those locations, such as the well trodden path between Spire and Branch, signposts were placed to help those out in the wild safely reach their destination. The signposts were therefore the forerunners of the trail network, creating the hubs from which trails radiated toward settlements and homesteads.
