253. Ileocecal Junction

You make your way along a series of twisting serpentine passages. There is little to be heard apart from a low, rhythmic thrum punctuated by regular intervals of protracted silence. If the terravore has a heart, it must be nearby.

You emerge into a cramped chamber where strange organs dangle from the ceiling, suspended by thin, sinuous tendons occasionally secreting liquids that drool lazily toward the floor. There, you see several fleshy valves partially submerged in pools of dark sludge. The valves occassionally quiver, then open, allowing the sludge to pass quietly onward.
