📄️ Terms
These are any game-specific terms that can appear in rules text. These are distinct from icons and from keywords that appear at the beginning of cards as stand-ins for rules text. The complete list of terms is:
📄️ Terrain
The locations in the Valley can be vast areas, and the path you take can dramatically change your experience of them. The terrain you travel across determines what kinds of features and wildlife you will encounter.
📄️ Tests
Tests represent your Ranger’s interactions with their environment. They appear on cards as an aspect , plus an approach icon, followed by both a thematic and mechanical description of what your Ranger does if the test is successful.
📄️ Timing
Many card effects resolve at a specific time (for example, “when you perform a test”). Any effects that don’t specify a timing are either ongoing effects that are always in effect, or effects that you can choose to use during any Ranger’s turn.
📄️ Tokens
There are several types of tokens:
📄️ Traits
Traits are descriptive words that appear on Ranger cards and path cards underneath the card's title. Traits don't have any rules effects inherently. Instead, they are referenced by other effects (for example "exhaust each Prey").
📄️ Travel
Traveling is how you move around the Valley, visit new locations, discover people and places unique to certain areas.
📄️ Traveler (Background)
Traveler is one of the available background sets for Ranger decks.
📄️ Turns
