Scout

When you are instructed to “scout” a deck, you look at  the number of cards specified from the top of that deck (for example, “scout 3 path cards”), then place any number of those cards on the top and/or bottom of that deck in the order of your choice.

  • If an effect scouts path cards, it can only be used to target the path deck, not other specially-named decks made from path cards.
  • If an effect scouts Ranger cards, it can only be used to target your own Ranger deck.
  • Many effects that scout also instruct you to draw a card after scouting, but this is not part of the scout effect. Fully resolve the scout, then resolve any other instructions.
