As you cross the stone bridge just outside the entrance to the Terra Lodge, you spot Viv Terra, keeper of the lodge, collecting logs from the nearby wood pile. You offer to help her carry wood inside, which she accepts with a soft smile. "I would appreciate it greatly. Please, make yourself at home. I'll brew up some elderberry tea."

You and Viv place the logs by the enormous stone fireplace, and you take a seat on one of the plush cushions arranged around the floor-level hearth. Viv re-enters a few minutes later carrying a steaming kettle and a tea set on an elegantly carved wooden tray. You accept a warm cup, taking small sips by the fire as you and Viv exchange pleasantries.

"I was growing worried about the storm to the north," she eventually admits, "but thank the ancestors, it seems to have quieted down." Then, spotting the expression on your face, she raises an eyebrow. "Might you know anything about that?"

You tell Viv to get ready for a tall tale, then explain to her everything you learned about the facility inside the stormcloud, and how you were able to prevent the storm from growing out of control.

"I knew there was something unnatural about that storm, but I never would have expected…" she trails off in disbelief. "And you are certain it's under control now?"

You nod—you're about as certain as you can be, given the circumstances.

"I have you to thank for the calm weather, then," she says, smile widening. "You may very well have saved our lodge from being buried by snow. In fact—wait here, please." She heads into a nearby storeroom and emerges moments later with a harness, a climbing hammer, and a set of metal pitons. "The climbing gear here once belonged to my forefathers, the founders of the Terra Lodge. They spent years scouring these mountains in search of the best location to construct this very lodge. I'd like you to have a set, as our way of saying thanks."

You nod and accept the climbing gear, thanking Viv for her hospitality.

"You are welcome here whenever you like," she says. "I hope this gear serves you well in your future travels."
