You rush through the fierce winds to the malfunctioning regulator's control system. With each passing moment, the situation grows deadlier. Lightning crashes into the tower above you, sending glass shards and stone debris flying in all directions. The force of the wind nearly knocks you off your feet. You steady yourself in front of the control panel and take in the various mechanisms.
The consciousness of the station's keeper still flows through you. Understanding comes to you, unbidden. You begin systematically flicking switches and pressing buttons across the panel. It is as if operating the device is second nature to you. Then, still fighting the fierce winds, you pull the lever to the right of the panel. There is a hiss of steam and a whirring of machinery as several tubes disconnect from the central spire.
You watch as the current drains from the structure, until suddenly, the lights around the spire begin dimming with a wavering hum. For a moment, there is nothing but silence as all of the nearby machinery shuts off in sequence.
Then, another hum emerges, its pitch more stable and pleasing to the ear. Various secondary systems and emergency regulators kick in, and slowly, the storm changes before your very eyes. The harsh winds slow to a gentle crawl, and the dark clouds around the facility fade to a feathery gray. Instead of a raging blizzard, the snowfall feels serene.
You breathe a sigh of relief. Somehow, your plan worked. With the storm now under control, it should remain isolated over Sentinel Peak, and there is no longer the threat of the station crashing into the Earth. Perhaps now you can lay the spirit of the station's caretaker to rest.

Between the raging storm, the howling wind, and the crackling electricity, the sound is deafening. You cover your ears and scramble to take refuge as the malfunctioning regulator shudders violently. The machines around you crack and shatter, sparks flying everywhere. Stone and glass debris rain down around you.
Peeking out from behind your safe haven, you watch as the the main spire of the primary regulator snaps in half. It rolls and crashes into the rest of the facility with a cacophonous sound, and a wave of dust rises from the impact, rushing outwards in all directions.
Then, silence. All of the lights around you flicker out. The instruments nearby cease their whirring, and all is still. When the dust finally settles, you realize that the clouds surrounding the station have become thin and wispy. The vents scattered around the facility are barely sputtering out cloud cover, and the snowfall has stopped, leaving only a few flakes drifting lazily on the now-gentle wind.
You breathe a sigh of relief, grateful that your desperate plan worked. The storm surrounding the facility is no more. The weather around the northern reaches of the Valley should return to normal in no time. Perhaps with the storm gone, you can lay the spirit of the station's caretaker to rest.
